Fullblood Wagyu beef shares for your household
You purchase a share of the live animal of a registered fullblood Japanese Wagyu steer for household use, not resale. Ownership transfers before harvest. Beef cost is priced per lb hanging weight; processing is paid separately to the processor.
Half vs quarter
Half share
~293 lbs packaged take-home. Estimated all-in $4,600–$4,700. Deposit $500. Needs roughly 8–9 cu ft of freezer space.
Quarter share
~147 lbs packaged take-home. Estimated all-in $2,300–$2,350. Deposit $250. Needs roughly 4–5 cu ft of freezer space.
What you pay, and when
There are three payments, and they do not all land at once. First the deposit, taken here when you reserve, which holds your share and is credited against the beef invoice — not an extra fee.
Second the beef balance, which cannot be quoted up front because it depends on what the carcass actually weighs. Once the steer is harvested and hung, we multiply the hanging weight of your share by the per-pound rate and invoice the difference.
Third the processing fee, which you pay directly to the processor when you collect your boxes — never to us. Cut-and-wrap choices are yours, so the amount is between you and them.

What hanging weight means
Live weight is the animal on the hoof. Hanging weight is the carcass after slaughter and before cutting — that is what your beef invoice uses. Take-home packaged weight is typically 60–70% of hanging weight for your share, depending on how you fill out the cut sheet.
Introductory rate on steer FB94946: $10/lb hanging weight. Standard rate on later animals: $14/lb.
Ready to reserve?
Your deposit applies to the final balance. It becomes non-refundable once the harvest date for your animal is scheduled. If the ranch cancels, you are refunded in full. If harvest has not happened within two months of your deposit, you are refunded in full — that guarantee overrides forfeiture.
